First of all - Welcome!
This is a role-play server with an evolving story line. Please read the history of Vrystoria to get a sense of what has already happened.
There is an in game PM: Server Info chat tab. It contains all sorts of useful links. Right click on the link and open in browser.
Your first couple of hours:
If you are new to Wurm, we recommend searching youtube for introductory videos. Gamester4life and Mootred are both good. Then talk to Storn who is in the middle of Keldor town. Right click and "Receive instructions". He has a small quest line that will help you with the basics of how Wurm works.
Examine everything in the Keldor and dungeons. You'll never know what you will get!
Activate any item and talk to Sara. She's in a merchant stall next to the arch. She will give you an acorn, which you give back to her. This mechanism is used for other NPC characters as well. During your talk with her she will ask you to choose a profession. You will do so by examining one of the tools on the table in front of her. Please read about the professions. You can only choose one and will get a skill bump and some tools. You are not locked into that profession, you can do whatever you like, but it's a nice welcome gift.
Next talk to Jonik. He will bring you up to speed on the story line.
Dungeons:
We currently have 2 dungeons, with more on the way.
Spy Camp is just south of Keldor. Follow the road for a bit and you see some palisade walls. Mob spawn is triggered by walking on certain tiles. Make sure you explore everywhere in the camp, and don't forget to examine everything. You may receive items and / or clues about the story line. Bring cotton and healing covers. You can back up through gates and doors to disengage while you heal up. This dungeon is suitable for under 20 fight skill with starter weapons and armor. Some players have found it useful to bring a shaft and / or bow to use the practice dolls and archery targets to bring up their fight skill while waiting to heal up.
Hedge Maze is east of Keldor and is suitable for 25 to 40 fight skill and decent weapons and armor (30 quality or better). Bring lots of cotton and healing covers. There are no gates or doors to back up through so you may want to bring a horse to run away if things get dicey. Remember to examine everything, including things inside containers.
I hope you have fun!
