Octavia has been the type of person who preferd to live alone for many years. She grew up in the Highlands where she owned a large track of land, and spent hours just honing her skills. People passing by would often hear her yelling "Stay Off My Grass!" and shacking whatever tool she had in her hand.
She had not always been that way, on the contrary. In fact, she used to meet her friends down in the local tavern daily, and never had an unkind word to say of anyone. That was until people starting taking advantage of her kindness, and it became her greatest weakness. Slowly those she knew and trusted moved on and forgot her, and strangers would move into what once had been there homes, creeping closer to her lands borders. She would try to make new friends, but she just seemed to have lost her spark. Then one day while she was out hunting, a Troll Champion did his worst, and Octavia was knocked unconscious. She crawled into her little boat, and surveyed her condition. The right side of her body was mangled, and beyond any healers care. The wounds on her head were just as bad, and she thought she would surly die sooner rather then latter.
The pain of her injuries quickly overcame her, and her boat was left adrift, moving to and fro with the currents. She had no clue how long she drifted, or even in what direction she had been subjected to. All she knew when she finally regained consciousness, was that the gods themselves had watched over here. Which god, she knew not. She was not hungry, or thirsty, and she had lived through her injuries, which would leave scars upon her for the rest of her life.
She tried to sit up in her small boat, and her eyes knew not where she was. What she did know was she was no longer in the Highlands. She knew the Highlands like the back of her hand, and th strange land was definitely not a place she knew. She had a few memories of her past, but for the most part, she was like a young girl again in thought and skill. The gods had chosen to give her a second chance, if she was only brave enough to take it.

I really enjoyed reading this and laughed more than I should have at "Stay off my grass!"

As Octavia climbed out of her boat, she found herself in a forest. She looked around and decided it was a sign from the gods that this would be her new home. Looking through the few equipment items she had stored in her boat, she grabbed up her Hatchet and shovel and began to clear some trees. When she felt she had gone in far enough; close to the water, but not on the waters edge, she looked around and saw a pit of tar. She knew she could use this to keep her small campfires going. She foraged around finding a few things she could plant, and started a small garden.
She flattened a nice 11x11 section of the land, and made plans to build a small house she could escape the cold of the nights and the rain, and eventually the winter. After much searching, she finally found some clay. This would be perfect with all the logs she had chopped down to make walls for her soon to be home. Plans were coming together and she found peace and serenity in her little part of the world.
She named her little area "Wonderland". She had always been a fan of Alice in Wonderland, except that creepy cat. I mean seriously, was the writer on acid when they thought up a cat that could float in the air and vanish when it wanted to? Talking animals she could handle.. yes, she knew she was a very odd person.
A boat went by with a few people in it, and she started meeting other people in this strange new land. They were nice and she even received a butchering knife and a female white horse as gifts. She was told there were many people in a central market where she could purchase items she could not get on her own, and so she sent a list back with her new friends. She knew it was a lot to ask for, but she found that getting a bit of coin was easy as she turned in the corpses of dead creatures to the kingdom. This place called it Bounty Hunting. She seemed to be good at it, and what else was there to do while she waited for her crops to grow until she would be able to get some of her list on her buy order.
'Yes' she thought to herself, the gods had given her a second chance and she was not going to let it pass....

Octavia worked hard on her land, and expanded until she had built up a nice huge garden. She met many of the people around her, and found that she had a neighbor. She liked her new neighbor and nodded to herself. "yes, this is where I am to be." she said out loud to the horses she had corralled. A local tailor began putting in orders for cotton, so she expanded and added a garden just for cotton, and boat builders began putting orders in for Wemp, so she added a 3rd garden. she upgraded her small home to an inn, and then decided she should build a road, if only to her neighbors and back for easy trading.
As she spoke with the other people of the land she kept hearing a name she had not heard of before. The God Heslin. Every time she heard the name, the hairs on the back of her neck would stand on end, as if to say 'Pay Attention'. Soon, she told herself that it was this new god she had never heard of before that had brought her to these lands, and made a pilgrimage in his honor to the White Light Temple and devoted herself as a follower to him.
Life was looking up. The road she had started was long and arduous, but she kept going, and even found a mine opening that she began to mine in for rocks and iron for nails, and ribbons, and made herself a few new tools. Yes, this was a good life, and she knew she was where she was supposed to be.

Octavia loved that her little Inn was swamped with orders, and she took on a few people to help her out with her settlement. Dennara was part dwarf she swore. Mining seemed to be the only enjoyment she had. Leigha was a beginner tailor, and was coming far with all the cotton that Octavia was growing, and Eco was building the settlement a Corbita. The plans were now for three more gardens for growing and harvesting. Orders for corn and Vegies had already started pouring in. Life was good, and so many people were relying on her cooking. Making sure the larder was always stalked and food growing. The newest expansion to add in three new fields was in progress.
What more could she ever dream of, until rumors started coming in with travelers about the Gods were asking that the people make four statues. These statues were to be built on the four sides of the world. They were meant to become a protection barrier.. She only prayed the statues were made in time to get the protection strengthened from evil.

The years had been good after the statues of protection had been built. Wonderland had been a great home, but Octavia had moved closer to the central lands, and started to rebuild what she had left up North. Echo had left the lands for greener pastures in his mind, Leigha had started a settlement of her own, and Dennara traveled most of the time and was away. So Octavia did what she had done in the past and at one point sunk down into her old bitter ways. Her friend Wyntria finally stepped up and told her to knock her shit off. To grow up and deal with her problems in a more constructive way. To say the least, Octavia was put on a time out, and she pulled her act together.
Then there came the day when the messenger once again came with bad tidings of goblins. Octavia had slowly been perfecting her old hunting skill and was ready for the battle. She was happy she was not alone when they ran into the General. He was a huge massive creature, but the small adventurers party took out the general. It was a great day for feast and celebrations. That was until Wyntria found a note on the body of the dead general. It said that the statue of the general was actually a dark portal!
Octavia and various others spent the next four days bashing down the statue of the general that doubled as a dark portal. Then she built a shrine where the statue had originally been. She found two other adventures, and created four altars; one to each of the Gods of these lands. They sadly lacked to find a follower of one of the gods, but petitioned others to help her seek out the missing gods followers.
(((OOC - yes there was a change of account, same person just different account.. still Octavia.. still my story)))
