From what I can tell from looking at the map... this new map has a LOT of tar around. Given that my last server had about twenty tiles of the stuff in total (a guess based on how hard it was to find, on a 4kx4k map), I can't think of this is a bad thing. Now to pore over it all in minute to detail to try and identify a good spot for settling... it certainly looks like it has potential.
This is the part where I look at my own hours and prepare to proudly proclaim that I can out-no-life someone. -checks, sees only 3335 hours- Ah. Well, that didn't work.
I have no idea how long it takes to prod and poke a server into near-perfection, but the time taken could be caused by any number of things... maybe there was an invasion of ghost drakes, maybe they're hoovering up some of the tar, maybe they're all in bed because it's the middle of the night in America. But whatever the reason, after putting a lot of effort into a lot of servers that all died... I'm willing to wait a bit for this one.
(For the question of spider butts, I recommend addressing enquiries to S. Gamgee of Bag End, The Hill, Hobbiton. I hear he has some experience in the matter)
Thanks for your patience again! We are confident that this map is a winner, it is more versatile, has a little bit of something for everyone, and the biggest win, it's traversable! We have located and corrected the database error that occurred during the changes. Players will still have all of their skills. If you need a teleport to the new location please ask. If you'd like a vehicle transported to the new start location let us know.
There is almost always a GM lurking either on their character toon, or in GM form.
