Hi,
Our first event is a naming event. Here are the details.
On April 15 we will release a map with the continents, and significant areas named. To participate in the creation of this map, please submit your suggestions to this thread with either a detailed description or picture of the area you would like to name, and the suggested name between now and April 10. Suggested names should be original and role play appropriate. You may submit as many names/locations as you like.
The GM's will review and if the same area has multiple suggestions the GM's will determine the name to choose.
Everyone who participates will receive a 50 ql toolbelt.

The map looks like a helmet so to me the word 'crown' or 'helmet' makes sense. Arryatlee was destroyed in the first Era but I'd like its mountain to keep its name, less it be forgotten for the forseeable future. Tallstar is an awesome name for a deed and a mountain and the land around Asag's Rest is very bumpy, like barrows. Lastly I think Serenity Isles has a nice ring to it, and those islands look peaceful even on the map.

I'm infamously bad with names; thinking up a name for my own deed is normally the most lengthy part of the process. But I do have a few ideas... though note that most of these come only from peering at the map, and I have less knowledge of the lore than a lot of people here, I'll bet. A) Given that this island grouping is on the edge of the server, with sea all around them, perhaps the Windswept Islands or the Windchill Islands (or maybe the Shivering Isles, if people manage to look past the Elder Scrolls reference) might be fitting. The individual islands would probably have names themselves as well (haven't thought of those), but that could be a name for the collective three of them. B) I've never been to this place, but it looks quite 'plains-y' from the map. I always liked 'The Dragonplains' as a name, but it could be adapted based on the more fitting creature that roams these parts. Maybe 'The Drake Plains', if there's a sizeable community of drakes... C) Lake Keldor, perhaps. The rivers could have names, too, but I'm clueless there. D) A bit small to be called an area, but from the look of it on the map, 'The Shadowcliffs' might be fitting. As for the island/continent I've settled on (bit big to be an island, bit small to be a continent)... I have no clue. No clue for my own deed name yet either. But what feeble ideas my name-struggling brain has come up with, there they are. Attachments:

The four islands with Fort Strengen can be called Skull islands as they do look like some animal skull.

The southern most of the serenity Islands looks like a toe. Calling it Toe Hold Island. Not only does it look like a Toe but it also is in one of the very corners of the land. Like a toe grasping on to existence, holding the land of Vrystoria in place.
